 BRS Latest News
Well it's that time of the week again where I find myself collating all my previous weeks' thoughts and experiences, in conjunction with what's hot on the B.R.S news front.
The news is pretty thin on the ground this week so ill get right to it.
I think it's only fair to say I have now found the sickest poker junkie ever and he's right here with us.
MR ANDY PAGE. Not only is this man dedicated and committed, some may say he needs committing.
Andy decided to have a solid hard working week. So last Tuesday he played 12 Thousand hands. Yes peeps 12 thousand hands in one DAY. Not wanting to be known as a "slacker" he felt it necessary to carry on at this rate and up until Sunday night has played a staggering 68 Thousand hands. During this absolutely obscene accomplishment he also chatted with several players whilst spinning up 12 tables at a time and threw in the odd training session too.
I thought I was a dedicated committed type of guy, but you have put us all to shame. A truly remarkable effort. Well done mate.
In other news Peter McCann decided that being jack of all trades was not the best way forward and focused on Heads up STTs. For his new found formula and thought process peter has had an incredible 8 day winning streak. Congrats mate, keep it up.
After detailed discussions with his mentor John Richards, Colin Spragg made the final adjustments to his game and game selection and has recorded a winning run of 9 days out of 11. A great result for Colin and hopefully some faith has been restored.
Some news does become repetative however it must be reported, so here goes. Hamster boy again took down a comp, winning the Omaha rebuy. By all accounts hamster (how can I fold pre flop when I got 4 cards) also grinded his way to a nice cash in 150k gtd. Great stuff.
Freeroll
This week's poker share freeroll winners are as follows:
1st Jon huckle (again)
2nd Paul Abraham
3rd Peter Hamilton
4th Stu Shipley
Well done to all you guys and GL in the follow up comps.
Many happy returns to Paul Jackson, who allegedly celebrated his 45th birthday last weekend (again for the 3rd year running).
Finally, please all remember to attend the Poker Seminar on Saturday 15th May 4.00 pm at the Broadway casino in Brum. Special guests Karl Mahrenholz and WSOP 2009 final tableist James Akenhead shall be attending (commitments allowing). This is a great opportunity to meet with the pros and advance your knowledge.
