 BRS Newsletter
Welcome to the first B.R.S newsletter and hopefully the first of many. So where do I start?
Well firstly let me welcome our new players that have joined us to embark on hopefully a long career of bad beats screaming at the screen and "how the #!@% did you call that"...So welcome.
Let's get to it then. There was a first this week in poker history when 2 members of the same family had a 1st in the same competition. Yes two 1st. Congratulations to Michelle Lawson's 1st place finish in the £300 DTD Deepstack freeroll. Not be outdone rab had his own 1st. He was first out of the very same comp. Rumors started flying around the poker community immediately. Could Michelle be the real Shedboymuff?
Rick Woolley and Paul Featherstone finished respectively 2nd and 3rd and also claim a portion of the winning. Good show guys.
A special mention goes out to the following players:
Jesse Algranti for being one of the most consistent winners, producing results week after week after week. Long may it continue.
Jason bright who in his first 2 weeks was winning over a $1000 grinding STT. 3 final tables in MTT as a follow up to his grinding. Great show mate well done!!!!
Andy page that's transformed the new 30 bb ss and had 5 straight winning days amassing over $1200.
Weekly Hotshots
Top prize this week goes to oystein "I'm not really a scandi" Verpeide. Not only did he celebrate his 21st bday this week (Happy Bday) this boy sorry man now smashed the MTTs this week. 3 final tables, two 1st places and a 2nd place finish totaling a massive profit of $6700. Wow great result mate.
The bar was set high.
Not to be out done, Dan Devlin came in with his own great results 11 final tables and 5 cashes.
Obviously all the credit goes to Jimmy "I can't hit a barn door" Toon. On a serious note Jimmy's group have a very close bond railing each other and supporting all via mikogo most nights. Having people help you making decisons in tough spots can only be financially rewarding. Great stuff guys.
Both Jimmy Korsgren and Christer Vendel also won MTTs this week taking Jimmy's group to the top.
Other big shakers this week include are very own Ben Jackson with a $3k profit.
Des Bunjnowski whos on a 8 day hot streak, and is over $700 up. Well done mate keep it up.
Signing off
For all the players that maybe haven't run so hot this week have faith. As Michael Jackson once said "you are not alone". You can deal with it in two ways. Just complain about how bad you run, how unlucky you are, the game is rigged etc or you can learn from your experience and keep making the right decisions. B.R.S has wealth of experience. You cannot imagine how much.
Paul Jackson the founder of B.R.S has been playing poker longer than most have been alive. Hamster boy, sheddy, Jimmy Toon all great players with years of knowledge. Instead of feeling sorry for yourself draw on their experience and use this to catapult yourself forward.
It would seem unfair to sign off without appreciating the special opportunity Paul Jackson has given us all. To play the game we love, to earn a good living from it and no risk to myself. I for one feel privileged at this opportunity embrace it with open arms.
Let's not also forgot all the hard work behind the scenes that Paul, Tom and all the mentors put in to support you guys and girls in trying to make you better players and people. Hours of wading through figs, Tom sits there like a robot analysing hundreds of screen shots and hands. Thank you guys.
Enough of that sucking up crap. Let's go forward with a positive mental attitude. Let's use all the tools we have and make this week better than last. Gl to you all (especially me).
If you have any news please send it for next week's letter to rajdhiri@ntlworld.com otherwise it will be a short letter. I will also be setting up a B.R.S admin section on the website so take a look. Any suggestions about anything are welcome. Remember the more we all pull together as a company the more chance we have of success.
Regards
